The Black Business Networking Social Events, BBNSE, is a group of like-minded, faith based business owners, artists and entertainers uniting to network, encourage, collaborate and support one another to impact our community by providing excellent products, services, gifts, and talents while. We believe that iron sharpens iron and that Together Each Achieves More, which spells TEAM.

The purpose of the BBNSE came to life in the fall of 2020. My health & wellness business was doing well during the pandemic, but I realized that many people and businesses were not, so I wanted to help. Some of my friends lost their business and others were trying to pivot to find something to do to work from home. I’ve been a home-based business owner for over 20 years between New York where I was born and raised to now, a transplanted Virginian.

God blessed me with a big, beautiful home in the summer of 2020, so I decided to use my home to create a platform for people that I knew to buy and sell their products & services and then invite others to come, shop, network and eat. Well, my idea was a hit! We had delicious food made by a chef who was a friend launching his business, so it was great exposure for him.

Several people I knew were considering home-based businesses for the first time ever came and got their start at my home. It was a blessing to all who came, businesses were making sales, customers and clients were shopping and networking having a great time, and being entertained. Everyone supported one another. It was like a utopia!

In August 2022, I connected with The Clearbrook Center of the Arts in Lake Ridge, Virginia at the Tacketts Mill Shopping Center, Lakeside. It is a beautiful commercial space perfect for the Arts & Entertainment portion of the BBNSE with plenty of space for twenty vendors or more and stage for artists of all kinds to perform their masterpieces.

I kicked off our first event there as an All-White Jazz Brunch with twenty-one vendors and it was a huge success!

Saxophonist, Tony Gatlin was amazing with his smooth sounds of jazz from popular trending songs to some of his own original songs. We all had a blast!

The BBNSE now hosts quarterly events in Feb, May, August and Nov/Dec of each year. Now you know all about who we are and how we got started. Come join our movement to support one another and level the economic playing field in our communities. We are a Family Community.

What we do...

The Black Business Networking Social Events, BBNSE, exists to bring minority business owners, artists and entertainers together to network, encourage, inspire, collaborate and support one another in business and in life. We can likely all agree that business ownership and entrepreneurship can be daunting and solitary, especially if you do not yet have a team. The BBNSE will be like your team and assist you in building your own personal team.

We want to impact our community by providing excellent products, services, gifts, and talents. We believe that teamwork makes the dream work. Each business owner represents a family and a dream. Dreams do come true when we work hard for what we want and work together to achieve them.

The mission of the BBNSE is to assist business owners in having a platform that is a safe place to learn, develop & grow as well as to buy & sell products and services. We are networking and collaborating from both business to business as well as business to consumer. We can only have a healthy, vibrant community when each of us is healthy and whole. We must pour out to the community from a full cup! The BBNSE strives to fill you up!

Our last event was amazing & empowering...

It's our 3rd annual All White Jazz & Poetry event celebrating black entrepreneurship and the resilience of those who have pivoted to entrepreneurship during challenging times. Guests will enjoy an evening of smooth jazz, open mic performances including poetry, saxophone, comedy, rap, and singing. A variety of vendors will offer products, services, books, handmade crafts, and delicious desserts, providing attendees the chance to shop and support local businesses.

The event features an island-inspired menu with exotic flavors and decor, including palm trees and coconuts, creating a Hawaiian paradise. Co-hosted by Dawne "Essence" Horizons and Gary G Hynson, aka King Kali, the evening promises dynamic performances and inspiring moments. will enhance the ambiance with his soulful tunes, captivating audiences with trending songs and original compositions. Theme: All White Party with a Hawaiian Flair- Hosts: Dawne "Essence" Horizons and Min. Dr. Gary G. Hynson aka King Kali. Special Musical Guests: Renaaz, Angel Griggs-Spann, N8 Worldchanger, Miss Gavri and several open mic artists.

This event was AMAZING with over 60 people in attendance. The food was good, the vendors had great products and customer service and the artists were Phenomenal! God came in and showed out! Renaaz ministered through healing music therapy session and the prophetic. Every artist brought voice and music that soothed the soul. You Do Not want to miss the next event.
